Trouble with Packing
I packed for about two weeks. It began with laying out a huge duffle bag and a suitcase. Into these, various items were placed that struck my fancy as potentially useful. I started by picking through camping gear: a water purifier pump, rain gear, base and mid layers of performance clothing, hiking poles; then moved to including other odds items like a deflated exercise ball, and a bottle of white truffle oil. After a couple of days of this scavenger packing method, I had two bags and 100lbs of rediculously eccentric gear, and almost no clothes. Chrisna came to my rescue the day before I left. We emptied everything and started from scratch, and repacked three bags of exactly 50lbs each: she even matched my clothes.
